Cosmelan De-pigmentation Treatment

What is the Cosmelan Treatment:

Cosmelan is one of the most powerful chemical topical brightening treatment that targets all types of brown patches and skin discolourations. It significantly reduces the blemishes caused by increased melanin production by gently fading the pigment and suppressing further pigment from resurfacing.
Cosmelan peel is the only depigmentation treatment that can treat all skin types. It is a non-invasive, easy and very effective corrective treatment for pigmentation imperfections and ageing concerns.

What is the process?

The Cosmelan peel involves a two-step process.

In Salon

The first step involves the application of a highly potent depigmenting thick, mud-like mask that contains Azelaic Acid, Kojic Acid, Phytic Acid, Ascorbic Acid, Arbutine, and Titanium Dioxide.
This is applied at the clinic and it should remain on the face for 8-12 hours, but the total amount of time depends on your skin type and the amount of hyperpigmentation being treated.
You will leave the salon with the mask still on your face. We will give you the exact time you will need to remove the mask.

At Home

Since the Cosmelan Peel is a two-step process, you will be instructed to apply a second topical anti-spot cream twice a day at home. You will receive additional products and detailed instructions for your strict at-home maintenance program. It is essential to follow a home care routine to maintain the results. Over the next 7-10 days, you may experience redness, tenderness, inflammation and peeling which is all normal and part of the process to get the best results.
Your skin will begin to peel two or three days after the initial application of the mask. Whilst the skin is peeling, you must not pick or pull the dead skin and use the aftercare products to hydrate the skin.
You may experience redness, itchiness, and tightness of the treatment area. You may return to work in a few days, once the peeling has subsided. You will need to keep your skin well moisturised.

Results

Cosmelan is unique in that it is both corrective and preventive for immediate and long-term results. You will see your blemishes start to fade within the first week, and your complexion begins to brighten.
When the mask is applied and left on for the prescribed amount of time, you may see up to 95% reduction in the skin’s pigmentation on the surface of the skin within 30 days.
