Microneedling is done with a pen type device to create tiny little micro channels in the skin causing a wound healing response and the skin naturally produces more collagen.
This super anti-ageing treatment is also used to correct many other skin concerns. We use advanced techniques by Dr Andrew Christie, a leading specialist in the most up to date protocols of skin needling to give our clients the best possible results. We combine a vitamin infusion plus enzyme treatment to deliver active ingredients further into the skin. This combination treatment can improve ageing, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring and open pores plus pigmentation!
Microneedling triggers your body’s wound healing processes to heal your micro channels immediately. However, the most dramatic results will not be visible until four to six weeks after treatment. It takes roughly this long for your body to create new, strong, healthy collagen.
Healing from microneedling usually takes a mere 24 hours. However, it may take up to two to three days depending on the extent of the treatment. You can are free to return to work or school immediately after treatment and wear makeup 24 hours
The redness that you experience from microneedling will mostly fade within 48 hours.
For at least 3 days post treatment, do NOT use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare. Avoid intentional and direct sunlight for 48 hours. No tanning beds. Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
One of the many advantages associated with this treatment is that patients usually see some signs of improvement within a week, with more dramatic results developing over the next three or four weeks.
